1. "HOME MAKERS"
This was a multi-school project for Year 8 across catholic schools in regional areas, mostly conducted in partnership with teachers and students via zoom. The students chose to participate in this project as an extra-curricular activity. The brief was to recreate home from recycled materials. The students did lots of planning in their sketch books and experimented with construction techniques before beginning their final model. I then turned the students' separate buildings into a massive built-city that was installed in the lobby of Sydney Catholic Schools' headquarters in World Square.
2. "SCULPTURE BY THE SEA"
As part of the annual Litterarty Competition, school students repurpose rubbish into a 3D artwork. For this project, I worked across several schools in the Sydney Catholic Diocese. Studnets from each school produced separate sculptures which were then combined to form one large collaborative recycled sculpture. The program demonstrates that big things are achieved when many people combine their seemingly small actions.
